Ruth Chiego and Marc Turner were married on December 8th, 2001. The
ceremony took place at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in San Antonio, TX. The Rev. Dr.
Michael C. Macey of Longview, Texas officiated at the ceremony. A reception
followed at Los Patios.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Chiego of San Antonio. She is a graduate of Southwestern University in Georgetown. She received a masters degree in Library and Information Science at UT-Austin. She is the Program Development and Reference Supervisor at Westbank Community Library in Westlake Hills near Austin. The groom is the son of Mary E. Turner of Henderson and John W. Turner of Longview. The groom is a graduate of SWTSU and received a masters degree in Education from UT-Austin with a focus on Psychometrics. He is a faculty member and computer operations manager in the Psychology Department at SWTSU. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Maid of honor was Rose Monica Chiego, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kaulen Taylor Pickell, Amanda Robinson, and Kelly McMurray. Best man was Jared Behnke, cousin of the groom. Groomsmen were Jeremy Mark Pickell, Jim Jennings, and Aaron Gray. Ushers were Stephen Bachenheimer, Thomas Lee, and John L. Ryan. After a honeymoon to the Caribbean, the couple will reside in Austin.
